Add Classified Ad
Classified Ads are advertisements that are organized into sections or groups based on a common attribute (ad type). Add a classified ad when you want to enter and track the classified ad advertiser, agency, ad text, and billing information.
To add a Classified Ad, use the following steps:
- Go to Modules>Advertising>Classified Ads>Add Classified Ad. The Add-Classified Ad page opens.
- Fill in the fields for the Classified Ad Information section as described in the table below:
- Fill in the fields for the Order Information section as described in the table below:
Fields Required Description agency Optional Select an existing agency from the drop-down list. classified ad type Required Select an existing classified ad type from the drop-down list. The type you choose in this field determines what your choices are in the publication field. publication Required Select an existing publication from the drop-down list. The publication you choose in this field determines what your choices are in the issue field. issue Optional Select an existing issue from the drop-down list. classified ad text Required Enter the text you want to include in the ad. base rate Required Select an existing base rate from the drop-down list. The dollar amount shows in the field beside it. discount Optional Select an existing discount from the drop-down list. The dollar amount shows in the field beside it. order date Optional Select or enter the date that the advertiser ordered this classified ad. purchase order number Optional Enter the purchase order number. - Click the total button to see total cost of the ad based on the number of words in the text.

- Fill in the Payment Information section as described below:
- Edit the fields in the Payment Information section as described in the table below. Depending on the type that you choose, you may see some but not all of the fields listed in the table below.
Field Name Required Description batch: drop down Required Select an existing batch from the drop-down list or add a new batch by clicking the add icon. po number Optional Enter a po number. Enter up to 50 characters, numbers or letters. type Required Select the type of payment from the drop-down list. Depending on what type you select, you will see some or all of the fields below. transaction date Required Enter or select a date for the transaction. payment method Required Select a payment method from the drop-down list. Depending on what payment method you select, you see some of the fields in the table in step 3. # of installments Required Enter the number of installments necessary to complete the payment. frequency Required Select the frequency of the payment installments. proforma? Optional Click this check box if the payment is proforma. invoice terms Required Select the invoice terms from the drop-down list. first payment date Optional Enter or select the first payment date for installment payments. notes Optional Click the notes icon to open the Invoice Notes page. On the Invoice Notes page, you can enter internal notes for users of iWeb and external notes for users of eWeb. - Fill in the fields in the payment method pane as described in the table below. Depending on the payment method you choose, you see some of the following fields but never all of them.

TeleCheck routing number Required Enter the nine-digit routing number. credit cardholder's name Required Enter the full name on the card. credit card number Required Enter the full credit card number. credit expiration date Required Select an expiration date. credit CVV Optional Enter the credit card security code from the back of the card. credit / TeleCheck cc/check street address Optional Check the existing address. credit / TeleCheck cc/check city Optional Check the existing city. credit cc/check state & zipcode Optional Check the existing city and zipcode. TeleCheck cc/check zipcode Optional Check the existing zipcode. TeleCheck drivers license number Optional Enter the check holder's drivers license number. TeleCheck social security number Optional Enter the check holder's social security number. credit / TeleCheck cc/check email Optional Check the existing email address.
- Edit the fields in the Payment Information section as described in the table below. Depending on the type that you choose, you may see some but not all of the fields listed in the table below.

advertiser | Required | Enter the first few letters of the advertiser name and select your advertiser from the list of matches or click the look up button to search the List - Customer page. Once you select an advertiser, the organization information fills in the fields below. |
address | Optional | The address field auto-populates with the primary address for the individual selected as the contact for this advertiser. If this contact has more than one address, you can choose a different address from the drop-down list. |
phone,fax , e-mail | Optional | These fields auto-populate with the primary information for the individual selected as the contact. If the individual has more than one phone, fax, or email, you can choose a different option from the appropriate drop-down list . |

bill to | Required | Select Other, Advertiser, or Agency. If you select advertiser or agency, the name and address of the advertiser or agency you entered in the previous sections displays. If you select Other, you must enter the customer name in the billing customer field. |
billing customer | Optional | Enter the first few letters of the sort name of the customer to see a list of matches. Select your customer from the list, or click the look up button to search the List –Customer page. |
bill to address | Required | Once you enter or select a customer in the bill to or billing customer field, the bill to address field populates with the customer's primary address. If this customer has more than one address, you can select a different address from the drop-down list. |
- Click the Save button to add your classified ad and go to the Classified Ad Profile page. Click the Cancel button to return to the previous page without adding your classified ad.
