Award Setup
The Awards Setup page gives you access to configure 6 fields. The values you enter here are available to be selected in drop-down lists throughout the rest of the Awards module. Awards Setup allows you to customize the choices available for all users so that those choices conform to your organization's business rules.
The Awards Setup page gives you access to configure the following fields:
Child Forms
On child forms, you can see several icons that perform various actions when you click them. They are:

Award Entry Category
Award Entry Category
The general category for which an award is being submitted, e.g., Marketing, Management.
To Add an Award Entry Category:
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award entry category child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — Award Entry Category window, enter the award category you can also enter the optional category description.
- Click the Save button to add the award category to the category drop-down list in the Award Entry Wizard.
Award Entry Status Type
The current status of the award entry, e.g., Advance, Do Not Advance, Awarded, Received.
To Add an Award Entry Status Type:
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award status type child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — Award Entry Status Type window, enter the status code you can also enter the optional status description.
- Click the Save button to add the status code to the status code drop-down list on the Entry Status child form of the Award Entry Profile page.
Award Fee Category
The categories in which to charge separate fees. Separate fees can be setup for each round or stage, or for different prize levels in the Award Entry Fee child form of the Award Profile, e.g., Round 1, Round 1, Level 1, Level 2.
To Add an Award Fee Category:
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award fee category child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — Award Fee Category window, enter the category. You can also enter the optional description.
- Click the Save button to add the category to the fee category drop-down list on the Award Entry Fee child form of the Award Profile.
Award Media
There is flexibility in how this can be used. Common uses include entering how an application is received or what media will be used to give an award, e.g., print, video, web, or medal, certificate, t-shirt, etc.
To Add an Award Media:
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award media child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — award media window, enter the award media. You can also enter the optional media description.
- Click Save to add the award media to the medium drop-down list on the Award Entry Wizard.
Award Type
The type of award that is to be given. This field is very flexible and type can be anything you want to track, e.g., medal, certificate, t-shirt, or New Initiatives, Most Improved, etc.
To Add an Award Type:
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award type child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — Award Type window, enter values in the fields according to the table below:
Field Name Required Description award type Required Enter whatever type of award you want to track. type description Optional Enter a description for the award type. award established Optional TBD award type purpose Optional Enter the purpose of the award type - Click the Save button to add the award type to the award type drop-down list on the Award Information page.
Award Winner Type
The type or level of award that is to be given to the winner, e.g., Medal, Certificate, T-Shirt, or Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.
Examples of award type: Medal, Certificate, T-Shirt, or Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.
- Go to the Award Setup page.
- On the award winner type child form, click the Add button.
- In the Add — Award Winner Type window, enter the winner type. You can also enter the optional winner type description.
- Click the Save button to add the award winner type to the award category drop-down list on the Award Entry Wizard.
