Add a Soft Credit Recipient

A soft credit recognizes a donor who is instrumental in influencing other donors to give to your organization. It credits the value of donations that were given by other people or organizations because of that person’s influence. Soft credits measure and record not direct donations by a person, but situations where a person assists your organization by getting others to contribute.

Example: For example, if Luis gave $50 during a 50% matching program, you might want to credit Luis for the whole $100 that got donated because of his initiative. The first $50 would be a hard credit, and the second $50 would be a soft credit.
