Creating Inventory Packages

Use the tasks in this topic to create an Inventory Package. Inventory packages can include Publications, Merchandise and Subscriptions. Remember, if the item is an inventoried item, netFORUM will create an inventory transaction on the sale of the Package.

To add a new Package to netFORUM, use the following steps:

  1. Select the Inventory tab.
  2. On the Group Item Overflow Menu, click Package.
  3. Select Add Package from the drop-down menu. The Add Package page displays.
  4. Adding a new package to netFORUM . For details on the fields in the Add Package form, please see the Adding a Package topic.
  5. Click the Save button to save your Package.

To add products to the package, use the following steps:

  1. From the package profile, click on the 'Components' profile group item.
  2. Expand the 'Package Components' child form.
  3. Click the '+' (add button)
  4. Search for a 'Package Product Price.'
  5. Set the 'Package Quantity'
  6. Set the cost of the item for this package. (netFORUM will total this field for all components of the package and use this as the total price of the package)
  7. Save.
  8. Repeat steps 3 - 7 to add more Products (Components) to the package.
