Use this system option to reference or not reference the contents of the md_cache_setup table to utilize caching for specified netFORUM metadata tables. The default for this option is true (selected check box).
Note: During implementation, before going live, it is helpful to set this value to false to avoid having to repeatedly reset the cache. Once the site goes live, set the value to true to optimize the site.
Current Setting
The current setting for EnableCachingOfMetaData is used as follows:
Values: This system option can be set to true (selected check box) or false (cleared check box).
- true—reference the contents of the md_cache_setup table to utilize caching for specified netFORUM metadata tables.
- false—do not reference the contents of the md_cache_setup table to utilize caching for specified netFORUM metadata tables.
Default Value: true
