Printing Concerns

I am using a laser printer and the bottom stub of the checks or vouchers did not print out. Why not?

Check the format selection made on the Print Load Checks (Vouchers) forms. Make sure that Laser forms are chosen instead of Continuous forms.

I am using a dot matrix printer and the pay checks/vouchers are printing a second stub information. Why?

Check the format selection made on the Print Load Checks (Vouchers) forms. Make sure that Continuous forms are chosen instead of Laser forms.

Can I use one printer for checks and another for reports?

Yes. The default printer for reports and forms are specified separately from File>Print Setup. Additionally, you may change the selected printer from any Print form.

Where do I get the forms to print checks or vouchers?

You can order forms from any printer as long as the forms meet the guidelines noted in the Form Specifications. Check and voucher forms are available online and are guaranteed to be compatible with our software. (Refer to Preprinted Checks and Forms for a list of part numbers to use when ordering.) Another alternative is to design and print your own custom forms using our Forms Designer module.

My checks or vouchers do not match your format; can I still use them?

It may be possible to use the forms by designing your own custom format with the Forms Designer module.

I do not want certain fields to print on the check or voucher stubs; how do I suppress these?

The only way to alter the fields that appear on the printed forms is by using the Forms Designer module.

My checks do not align; how do I correct this?

If you are having an alignment issue, this is usually resolved by using an alternate printer driver, as each driver will alter the alignment slightly. Check your printer manual or the manufacturer's website for alternate driver information.
