Web Section
Web Sections are ambiguous containers for Web Pages and do not necessarily represent the information architecture of your site, but allow you to apply specific properties to the containers and the pages in them.
Adding Records
A new section can be created by clicking the plus icon next to the Sections dropdown-list.
Managing Records
You can also edit section attributes by clicking the pencil icon. Both links open the Edit Web Section page.
The Advanced Options box contains a number of attributes including:
- Visibility SQL - Enter a conditional Visibility SQL statement here that will affect the availability of pages and system links pointing to the pages on the site. Selecting an Alternate page from the adjacent dropdownlist will set the target for a user attempting to access a page where the visibility condition is not met.
- Exclude Site Defaults - Checking this box will render pages in this section without the global default panes. Section default panes for the particular section will be rendered in their place.
- Pages Require Login - If this box is checked all pages in this section will require login and their corresponding system links will be hidden unless the user is logged in.
- SSL secured - Checking this checkbox will put all pages in this section under SSL. The overall website will of course need an SSL certificate or else pages will not load properly.
