Editing the Participation Code Profile

Modules>COI> Find, Query, or Add Participation Code> Participation Code Profile

Clicking the Edit button allows you to make changes to the Participation Code, but you cannot edit the Participation Type.

A Participation Code is a Source Code that is used for sorting Questionnaires in the COI module. Add a participation code when you want to track COI Questionnaires . A participation code also populates other fields based on the participation code context details you enter here.

Using the Edit - Participation Code Page

To edit participation codes, use the following steps: 

  1. Go to Modules > COI > Find, Query, or Add Participation Code > Participation Code Profile and click the Edit button. The Edit –Participation Code window opens.
  2. Enter information in the fields as described in the table below:

    Participation Code Required Enter the name of the participation code that will be used to sort COI Requests. It is a good idea to use the prefix "COI" in the name as it will help you discern the codes created specifically for COI purposes as opposed to source codes created for other purposes in netFORUM, such as marketing.
    Start Date Optional Enter the date this participation code will first be available.
    End Date Optional Enter the date this participation code will no longer be available.

  4. Add participation code context details.
    Choose which fields to associate with your participation code in the drop-down lists in the field column. The values available in the field column are determined by the Participation Type. The value you select in the field column determines the values available in the field value column. Once you enter a participation code in other places in netFORUM, these participation code context details automatically populate.

  5. Delete a field by clicking the delete icon beside the field. Click the trash button to delete all the fields.
  6. Add a field by clicking the add button.
  7. Click the Save button to save your changes and return to the Participation Code Profile. Click the Delete button to delete the Participation Code. Click the Cancel button to return to the Participation Code Profile without saving your changes.
