Any portion of an event registration (main event, tracks, or sessions) can be canceled. You may also add an associated Cancellation Fee for each event, track, or session that a registrant cancels. The primary Cancellation Fee Price Attribute is the date.
netFORUM creates credits when an individual attempts to register for an event that is already at maximum capacity. Once that credit is created, you can view the Credit Profile and navigate to the Event Profile from the credit profile.
You can Cancel a registrant from the Events Registrant Profile.
To Cancel a Registrant from the Events Registrant Profile:
Click the cancel icon.
This will open the Event Cancellation Wizard.
Note: When the main registrant is canceled, all associated guests are also canceled even if they are not specifically checked on the Event Cancellation Wizard form.
The Individual's Events Registrant Profile page automatically displays.
The cancel date defaults to the date on which you canceled the transaction and cancellation reason displays on the Individual's Events Registrant Profile page.
The canceled registrant's information displays in the Events Profile under the Registrants tab on the canceled registrants child form.
If your registrant had associated guests, then the guest registration is canceled as well. You will see the following evidence of the cancellation:
Note: Keep in mind that you may not cancel a main registrant without all associated guest registrants being canceled as well. This remains true even if the guest registrant check boxes have not been selected for cancellation in the Event Cancellation Wizard. In subsequent Service Pack updates, the check boxes will be selected automatically once a main registrant has been selected.
When you are canceling an event that has one invoice for multiple events, it is difficult to know what event to cancel because the events have the same invoice number. With new cross-reference functionality, you can tell which event to cancel by looking at the invoice detail record.
