Message Center

The Message Center can be accessed via the envelope icon in the top navigation bar, by the module menu.

Use the Message Center to view and send messages to groups and users. The number of unread messages in the Message Center appears as a red notification above the envelope icon.

Click the envelope icon to expand the messaging center drop-down.

Async Save Notifications

If the async save flag is enabled in the Toolkit module for certain form types, creating or updating these form types causes a message to appear in the Message Center.

In the example below, async saving has been enabled for when an individual is added. When the new individual is saved, the two messages highlighted below appear in the Message Inbox. This indicates that the insert individual process began and was completed.

Viewing Received Messages

Expand the messaging center drop-down to view and reply to messages received. If more than five messages are in the messaging center, only 5 will display in the drop-down. Remaining messages display in subsequent pages, which can be reached by clicking the hyperlinked page numbers above the message list.

Click the hyperlinked message title to view the text of the message.

A pop-up displaying the text and details of the message will appear. Messages are automatically marked as read when they are viewed.

Note: There is no limit to the length of message that can be sent. The message window automatically expands to accommodate message length.
