Assigning Interests to Actions

You can assign interests to specific actions. Once you do, whenever an individual participates in that action, NetForum creates an implicit interest for that individual.

Assigning Interests to Actions

To assign an interest code to an action, complete the following steps:

1. Locate the Add - <Action> Interest form within the action object to which you are assigning the interest code. The locations of this form for the various actions that support this functionality are listed below.

   Once you get to the listed child form, click the Add icon to launch the Add - <Action> Interest form.

2. Open the Add - <Action> Interest form, select the interest code from the drop-down list.
3. Enter the intensity for this action in the intensity value field. The intensity for an interest code indicates how engaged or "interested" an individual is in that interest code.
4. Click the Save button.

   The child form updates to display the newly added interest.

   Tip: When individuals participate in this action, NetForum adds an implied interest to his or her Individual profile on the interests child form found under the Misc child form tab.
