Organization Setup

You can set up the Organization Type and Product Types to be sold by the organization from the Organization Setup tab.

Setting Up the Organization Type

Organization Types
allow you to categorize the types of organizations you will be adding to NetForum. In addition, certain organization types provide special functionality.

Example: association, corporation, government agency, non-profit, research, academic

To Set Up an Organization Type:

  1. Go to the Customer Setup page.
  2. Click the Organizationstab.
  3. On the Organization Type child form, click the Add button. The Add - Organization Type window displays.
  4. Enter the name of the Organization Type you are adding to the Organization Type field.
  5. Click the Save button. The newly added Organization Type is now available in the organization type drop-down menu on the Add - Organization page.

Setting Up the Product Types

Product Types
are the types of products that can be sold by an organization.

Example: e-learning products, printing, books, software, catering, consulting services

To Set Up Organization Product Types:

  1. Navigate to the Customer Setup page.

  2. Click the Organizations tab.
  3. Click the Add icon located on the Product Types child form. The Add - Organization Product Type window displays.
  4. Enter the name of the product type you are adding in the product type code field.
  5. Enter a product type description in the description text box.
  6. Click the Save button. The newly added product type is now available in the product type drop-down menu.
