Recertification Tool

The Recertification Tool evaluates a list of certificants . If the certificants' re-certification requirements have been met, the Recertification Tool updates the certificants' main certification record. You can use the Recertification Tool to mark a list of certificants as re-certified if they have completed all the renewal programs.

Using the Recertification Tool

  1. Go to Modules>Certification > Certificant > Find or Query Certificant.
  2. Craft a list of Certificants you would like to mark as recertified. The List - Certificant page appears.
  3. In the left navigation panel, click Recertification Tool.
  4. Choose which fields to fill in based on the description in the table below:

    Recertification StatusChoose the status the records will change to
    Recertification DateSelect or enter the date the recertification becomes valid
    Effective Re-Enrollment DateSelect or enter the date the certificant re-enrolled in a recertification program
  5. Click the Update Certificants button.

  6. The Recertification Tool updates fields in the Certificant records according to the table below.

Fields that may be updated by the Recertification Tool

Recertification Date
  • The Recertification Tool sets the recertification date for the certificants who have met the requirements and are recertified.
Effective Date
  • For initial certification, the effective date will be the same as the certification date.
  • For renewals or recertifications, a new effective date will be assigned.
Expiration Date
  • The expiration date is calculated by adding the certification program term to the effective date.
Effective Enrollment Date
  • The Recertification Tool sets the effective enrollment date for the next certification term.
Completion Due Date
  • The completion due date is the due date for completing all program requirements in the next term.  During recertification, the completion due date is calculated by adding the application term to the effective enroll date.

Note that if you are trying to process more people than are in your ListDataGridMaxRows user option, then you need to run the tool in batches. We do not recommend raising this number beyond the recommended limit, or you risk processing timeouts.
