Find Participant

Use Find Participant to search for Participants already in your database.

Participant information is added to the database in one of the following ways:

  1. As Certificants because the Course is part of a Certification Program.
  2. Directly from the Course Profile with the Register icon.
  3. Through the invoice icon on the Individual Profile in the CRM Module.

When using the Find -Participant page, you search for a desired Participant using information stored in the database. Search results viewed on the ListParticipants page display in columns, and each column of search results corresponds to a data field. Only a limited, pre-defined set of columns pertaining to Participants are available to you on the Find Participant page.

Find Participant

  1. To search for Participants already in your association's database, go to Modules>Certification > Course Participant > Find Participant . The Find - Course Participant page opens.
  2. For a more specific search, click the Advanced View check box. Expanded Boolean search options appear for each search criteria field. Use these search options to narrow your search results further.
  3. Click Go. A list of search results displays in the List - Course Participant page. If only one result comes of the search, the profile page for that result opens.

Note: The more specific you make search criteria, the narrower the results returned will be. A search for a Sort Name beginning with "F" returns more results than a search for a Sort Name beginning with "Full." And a search for all records with a certain Score or Grade produces more results than a search of Sort Names starting with a "T" with a specific Grade.

Find vs. Query

Most Finds and Queries in NetForum are run in CRM. The Find page is setup with a pre-defined set of columns (fields) versus a Query which allows you to select from any column in the search Table.

If you are not sure what you are looking for, use theNetForum wildcard character, the percent sign (%), to help you with your search.
