Add Fundraising Purpose Code

Modules>Fundraising>Purposes>Add - Fundraising Purpose Code

Fundraising Purpose Codes are used to earmark money for specific causes. Purpose codes can be created and tied to funds so that when money is donated, it can be designated for specific purposes.

To add a Purpose Code, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Modules>Fundraising>Overview>Overview and Setup
  2. Click the Purpose Code icon.
  3. Fill in the following fields:
    4. Field Name Required? Description
    purpose code Yes Enter a purpose code to identify the code on other forms.
    active No Selected by default. Deselect this box if the purpose code is not active.
    description No Enter a description of the purpose code.
    start date No Use the calendar widget to select the start date of the pupose code.
    end date No Use the calendar widget to select the end date of the purpose code.
    purpose goal No Enter the amount the purpose code is intended to raise.
    amount raised N/A This field is automatically filled.
    notes No This field can be used to record any notes about the purpose code.
  4. Click Save. The Fundraising Purpose Code Profile page opens.
