Packages

Abila creates a folder called packages on each machine and this folder contains everything for creating each of the jobs or tasks and for recreating them. This article is about integrations. See Package for the inventory item.

You might have XYZPackage01 under packages. In that folder are:

  • Readme.txt or other files that include: the purpose of the integration or modification, how it is supposed to work, how it is installed, how it is configured, how it is tested to see if it works, how to determine if it fails, how to troubleshoot, etc.
  • All files necessary for the implementation – scripts or programs from Abila, DTS package exports, third party software and licensing info, scripts to create whatever tasks, and so on.
  • This procedure should be followed by both Abila staff as well as client development staff, for every little batch task or big integration that lives outside of NetForum.
  • All requests for configuring servers to support these types of integrations will not be acted upon by the Abila hosting department until these procedures have been completed.
