Opportunity Type

An Opportunity Type defines the different areas in which sales can be categorized such as an advertising, exhibit, merchandise or sponsorship sales opportunity. Further, opportunities are potential sales and the opportunity type in NetForum enables you to track these potential sales by category as such.

Note: After you define opportunity types, you can add sales opportunities that can be categorized by type and source.

Adding Records

1. On the group items overflow menu, click Opportunity Type group item.
2. On the Opportunity Type group item, click the Add Type link.

3. The Add — Opportunity Type page will display.
4. Enter a code in the code text box.
5. Enter a description in the description text box.
6. Click Save.

Afteryou have added the various types you plan to track and categorize your sales opportunities by, you will notice that each time you add a Sales Opportunity, the opportunity types you have added now appear in the Opportunity Type drop-down. As noted, this enables you to categorize each sales opportunity you add by type.
