Use this system option to enter the Group Item Link Key used for the Mass Replace from List Page feature. The default for this option is 99e06fb7-c468-40b5-894c-843063553299.
Note: Users must belong to at least one Group with access to the Link Key to activate this feature on List results pages.
If you'd like to restrict mass replace capabilities to specified users, then do the following:
- In Admin -> Groups, create a new security group and name it something like "Mass Replace Users"; alternately, if you already have a security group that comes close, use that group.
- Add the authorized users into this group who you want to allow to run mass replace (unless you’re using a preexisting group).
- Copy the value of the system option as you'll need it later.
- Navigate to the Group Item Link key whose value is in the system option by going to Toolkit --> Overview --> Find Group Item Links. Paste the value of the system option into the Link Key search field and navigate to that group item link. The default group item link is called "Mass Replace" and was added to netFORUM in the 2010.1 release.
- In the privileged groups child form for this group item link, delete the existing groups and add the "Mass Replace Users" group.
- clear cache
After doing this, the mass replace link should be visible only for users who are in the "Mass Replace Users" group.
