Accessing the Form Designer

  • You must have a Toolkit license in order to use the Form Designer.
  • Sign in to NetForum by using Internet Explorer.
  • Sign in to NetForum as a user who is a member of the netForumAdmin or AvectraAdmin groups.

Note: Internet Explorer Version 11 is supported for Toolkit functions. The Microsoft Edge browser cannot be used to access the NetForum Enterprise Toolkit. If you have enabled MVC forms, the MVC Form Designer can be used in any browser.

Opening the Form Designer from an Existing Form

To open the MVC Form Designer from an existing form, use the following steps:

  • On the Profile Page, click System Tools () > Edit in Form Designer. (MVC Forms are only available for several profile pages.)
  • When you have finished editing the form, click the Done button () to return to the previous form. Changes are saved automatically.

To open the Classic Form Designer from an existing form, use the following steps:

  • On the Profile Page for the form's Object, click the design form () button for the form.
  • When you have finished editing the form, click the save or save and close button to return to close the Form Designer.

Opening the Classic Form Designer for New Forms

Use the following steps to create a new form using the Form Designer:

  1. Go to the Toolkit module.
  2. Select the kind of form to add to the NetForum interface, using the group items in the navigation menu. For example, select Form>Add Form, or Wizard>Add Wizard.
  3. Enter the appropriate information in the Add form to create the form. To change the design of the form, make sure to select the design form option.
  4. Click Save to save the form.
  5. On the new form page, click the Design Form icon to open the Form Designer and modify the form.
