Default Web User
The default Web User is an Individual record in NetForum that is used for a very specialized purpose in eWeb.
The eWeb component requires a User to work with, but if a person visiting eWeb has not yet logged in, the user is not established. Until the visitor logs in, NetForum assumes that the user is the default web user.
The default web user has a customer key of all zeroes (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000).
Important! Deleting the default web user breaks the eWeb site. The default web user must always exist in NetForum. If the default user record is accidentally deleted, it can be reinserted manually using a SQL script. Contact Abila Customer Support to resolve the issue.
Web User Creating Data
If you ever see records added to NetForum for this particular individual, that indicates that a person on eWeb performed some operation that saved data, and that person had not logged in yet. If this should not be happening, make sure that the pages on which this action occurred require the user to log in. There are settings on CMS pages and sections that can require a user to be log in before they can access the page or section.
