Viewing the Requests and Responses Log for SPS

As a netFORUM administrator, you can view logs of requests that netFORUM sends to the Sage Payment Solutions (SPS) gateway, and the responses that netFORUM receives. You might want to enable logging of the Sage Payment Solutions (SPS) requests and responses when there is an error with a transaction, Sage produces an error that requires a certain request, or you want to see Sage's responses to netFORUM's requests.

Before you start the steps below, you must enable logging. See the Logging Requests and Responses for SPS topic for detailed steps.

To view the SPS logs, use the following steps:

Important! You must have administrator privileges on the Web Server to perform the following steps.

  1. Determine where the faulty transaction occurred, there are four possible locations:
    1. iWeb
    2. eWeb
    3. xWeb
    4. Tasks/Binaries
  2. Find the netForumProcessorSage-Log.xml file in that directory.

    Example: If the faulty transaction occurred in iWeb, look for the file in this path: iWeb/netForumProcessorSage-Log.xml on your web server.

  3. Open the netForumProcessorSage-Log.xml file to see requests and responses in XML format.

    Tip: To decipher the code easier, open the XML file in Notepad ++.
