Framework layout

The netFORUM content display framework prescribes the basic visual layout of a web page in netFORUM CMS. The framework comprises of the following core components:

• Top Pane - Typically contains a web site header or banner (logo, links)
• Bottom Pane - Typically contains web site footer (copyright, contact information)
• Left Pane - Typically used for web site navigation links
• Right Pane - Typically used for web site navigation links
• Content Pane - Typically contains web page main content

The outer panes are called default panes and are generally used for site-wide or section-wide default content. Each of the top-level panes are further subdivided into the same divisions (Top, Right, Left, Bottom and Content). The outer sub-panes of a pane (Top, Right, Left and Bottom) are reserved for system links. Panes and sub-panes that do not have content assigned to them collapse and are invisible.

The content sub-pane of the main Content Pane is where the content of a netFORUM eWeb page is actually rendered.
