Request Profile Buttons

The Request Profile contains three buttons that offer extra functionality.

This topic covers the functionality of the following buttons on the Request Profile:

Click the Edit button to make changes to the Request information.

Use the following steps to edit the Request Information:

  1. Go to Modules>COI>Requests>Find, Query, or Add Request>Request Profile.
  2. Click the Edit button. The Edit-Request window opens.
  3. Enter information in the Questionnaire Request Details fields as described in the table below:
  4. Field Name Required? Description
    questionnaire Required Expand the drop-down menu and select the questionnaire to be included with this request.
    code Required Enter a code for this Request. This code will be used to name the mailing list of individuals receiving this request and is limited to five characters.
    due date Required Enter the date the questionnaire is due to be completed for this Request.
    purpose Required Enter the reason for this Request.
    notified staff Optional Use the lookup field to select a staff member who will be notified regarding this Request.
    participation type Optional Select the appropriate participation type from the drop-down menu. The selection made here will populate the participation code drop-down menu.
    participation code Required Select the appropriate participation code from the drop-down menu.
    list type Required Select the appropriate list type to be used for the mailing list. The selection made in this field will populate the data source drop-down menu.
    data source Required This field will appear after you select a list type. Expand the drop-down menu and select the data source to be used to select recipients of this request. If an audience was selected this field will no longer be available
    audience Optional Expand this drop down menu and select the audience that will determine the recipients of this Request. Once an audience is selected you may click the Modify Audience hyperlink to make any modifications necessary. If a data source was selected this field will no longer be available.
    confirmation template Required Expand this drop down and select the template to be used for the confirmation email sent to Request recipients.
  5. Enter information in the Messaging Details fields as described in the table below:

    Field Name Required? Description
    correspondence template Required Expand this drop-down and select the correspondence template to be sent to Request recipients.
    mailing type Required Select the mailing type for this Request. You may also edit an existing mailing type or add a new mailing type if needed.
    file to attach Optional You may browse your hard-drive (or network drive) to attach files to the correspondence sent to the Request recipients.
    attachment(s) Optional Any attachments to be added to the correspondence emails will be listed here. You may highlight them and click the Remove button if you wish to remove them from the mailing.
    delivery method Required Expand the drop-down menu and select the method of delivery for this Request.
    schedule type Required Expand the drop-down menu and select the frequency that this Request will be sent out. Selecting the recurring option will cause several other fields to display that will allow you to schedule the frequency of the recurrence.
    from Required Enter the name and email address of the individual whom the Request will be sent from.
    reply to Optional Enter the name and address of the individual that will receive any replies regarding this Request.
    send with high priority? Optional Click the check box to flag this Request as a high priority email.
    test email Optional Enter the email address to be used to receive a test email for this Request.
    as Optional Expand the drop-down menu and select the format to use for the test email. Click the send test email button to send a test email.
  6. Click the Save button to save your changes and return to the Request Profile. Click the Delete button to delete the request. Click the Cancel button to return to the Request Profile without saving your changes.

Refresh List Button

Click the refresh list button to refresh the members of the mailing list used for this Request.

Delete Messaging Jobs Button

Click the delete messaging jobs to delete all scheduled messaging jobs for this Request.
