Fundraising Renewal Gift Moves Series
The Fundraising Renewal Gift Moves Series is a series designed to encourage a donor to renew their gift. Avectra developed this series in consultation with Cygnus Applied Research, Inc.
Purpose of Series
The purpose of the series is to encourage a donor to renew their gift. Based on research from Cygnus Applied Research, Inc., there is a 35% likelihood of a first-time donor making a second gift. Once a donor makes a second gift, the likelihood of further gifts is much higher. With donor acquisition costs so high, it's critical to retain the donors you've won over and not let them slip away.
The Fundraising Renewal Gift Moves Series is designed to help you administer a strategy of retaining these new donors and making them loyal supporters into the future.

Configuring the Series
The Series will ship with some blank fields that you must fill in with your organization's own unique setup data and staff people before using the module.
Moves Series
In the Moves Series, enter the username of the staff person who is the owner or person responsible for managing the series. This user will become the owner of the Moves for the series. This field is really just for general record keeping so it's not critical whose name you select.
Moves Assignment Templates
Configure the Moves Assignment Templates in the Moves Assignment Group with your own specific codes for:
- selection query - if desired, set up a query to determine which Moves will get the assignment.
- assignee - the staff user responsible for the assignments created by this template.
- assignment role - the role of the assignee.
- assignment activity type - the general type of the assignment.
- assignment status - select the status you use for "open" or "pending".
- assignment priority - high, medium, low, etc.
The last four codes are set up as described in Customer Request Setup. For Moves Management, you'll likely need to set up new codes for the role and activity type. See Adding an Assignment Template for more information.
This Fundraising Renewal Gift Moves Series ships with more than a dozen different assignment templates, as shown in drop-down list in the nearby image. You'll need to personalize each of them with your own setup data in order to use them.
Optional Configurations
To personalize the Series to your own organization's culture, consider the following:
- Choosing which Assignment Templates to use in which situations in the first stage and in other stages.
- Adding new Assignment Templates for additional activities your organization does to engage donors.
