Using Informz for eMarketing

netFORUM is now integrated with the 3rd party e-mail marketing provider for associations and not-for-profits, Informz. This integration is through the Messaging Job Setup Wizard at this time. E-mails sent through Lists, Individual Profiles and so forth will still be handled through the netFORUM messaging engine.

Informz offers a suite of integrated email marketing solutions built to meet the needs of associations and nonprofits, helping you deepen relationships with existing members, discover and reach new members and work more efficiently. Specifically, Informz for Associations gives you the power to:

• Create full circle marketing campaigns
• Send highly targeted member communications
• Track results instantly

To integrate your entity Messaging Job Setup Wizard with Informz and take advantage of these features, contact Abila Support to enable the correct system options. Further, note that an agreement with Informz is needed.

Once Informz has been integrated with your entity, note that the Messaging Job Setup Wizard under the eMarketing module will be modified. For example:

1. Only 3 steps of the wizard will be needed (instead of 5 steps formerly) as seen below. Informz will handle the rest of the mailing job. Further, the informz logo will be present.

2. Mailing List – You will no longer be able to select Mailing List as an option in the Recipient Type drop-down through this integration. Informz creates and handles all Mailing Lists for you. You are still expected to select the query parameters for the Recipient Type selected, however.

3. Templates, on step 2 of the Messaging Wizard, are created and managed in Informz and have also been removed. You may, however, still assign categories to message jobs since netFORUM opt-outs still function.

4. Once your Messaging Job is created in netFORUM, log-in to your Informz account to schedule the Job. You may go directly to your Informz account from step 3 of the setup wizard after your job is saved.

You will notice that netFORUM Messaging Job Profiles have changed slightly if you are using the integration as well. For example, the netFORUM profile will no longer have a Scheduled Jobs & Sent Statistics child form (seen below) since Informz will now track these statistics for you.

However, once Informz emails start distributing, individuals that receive emails will have this noted on their individual profiles; this will be seen on the Corr. tab > Communication child form. Further, if their email address in invalid, the invalid flag will be updated. Invalid is designated as any sort of bounceback.

Finally, as mentioned, netFORUM opt-outs for emails will still function as normal based on the Category you set in step 2 of the setup wizard.
