What is a Price Qualifier?
Price qualifiers limit when
a product will display in the Shopping
Cart or Online Store. If
you add a price qualifier, the product will not show in the Shopping
Cart or Online Store outside
of this time period or to customers who do not match the criteria.
You can set up price qualifiers for the following
situations:
- To allow only certain types of members to purchase
this product at this price, select the type of membership from the
Membership Type drop-down
list. This price will display in the Shopping
Cart or Online Store only for customers who have this type
of membership.
- To limit who can purchase this product at this price
based on membership status (e.g., Active members only), select the
Member Status from the drop-down
list. If "Active" is selected, the price will display in
the Shopping Cart or Online Store only if the customer
is an "Active" member.
- To offer a special rate to a customer based on how
the customer originally came to the organization (e.g., special promotion)
select a Record Source. The
price will display in the Shopping
Cart or Online Store
only if the customer has a Record
Source on their individual or organization profile. (See .)
- To offer a special price based on whether the customer
is an individual or an organization, select either Individual
or Organization from the Customer Type drop-down list. After
you select the Customer Type,
you can further narrow who can purchase the product at this price
by selecting an Individual Type
(e.g., Student) or an Organization
Type (e.g., Non-Profit). This price will display in the
Shopping Cart or Online
Store only if the customer belongs to this Customer
Type or Individual
or Organization Type.
- Use the Country
Price Qualifier to offer a special price based on a customer's
country.
- To specify a subscription
or subscription status as
a qualifier.
