Budget New Worksheet Form (Posted Adjustment)
The Budget New Worksheet form or Budget Posted Adjustment form displays when you click a worksheet name on the Budget Worksheet Form and consists of three sections.
- The New Worksheet form displays when the worksheet selected on the Budget Worksheet form Worksheet Type is New Worksheet.
- The Posted Adjustment form displays when the worksheet selected on the Budget Worksheet form Worksheet Type is Posted Adjustment.
Worksheet Details
The worksheet details display in this section of the New Budget Worksheet form.
Worksheet Name: Lists the worksheet name.
Begin Date: Lists the begin date for the worksheet.
End Date: Lists the end date for the worksheet.
Version: Lists the worksheet version.
Worksheet Options
The New Budget Worksheet form provides these options.
Status: Lists worksheet status information.
- Last Modified Date: Lists the last date the worksheet was modified.
- Modified By: Lists who modified the worksheet last.
- Transfer Date: Lists the worksheet transfer date.
- Transferred By: Lists who transferred the worksheet last.
- Posted Date: Lists the posted date.
- Posted By: Lists who posted the worksheet last.
Configuration: Select the account types to validate: Expense Accounts, Revenue Accounts, both account types, or all available account types.
Notes: Use this tab to record any specific notes or reminders about this worksheet. This is a free-form area; each line can be longer than the width of the form. Press Enter to move down to the next line.
Attachments: Use this tab to create attachments to the worksheet.
Budget Worksheet Spreadsheet
Use the Budget Worksheet spreadsheet to create the new budget worksheet.
The top row of the worksheet toolbar has a pair of Undo\Redo buttons and these tabs:
Home: The Home tab is a toolbar providing spreadsheet formatting options for text and cell entries. Formatting options are not available for transferred worksheets.
Insert: The Insert tab is a toolbar providing options to insert and delete spreadsheet rows. Inserting spreadsheet rows is not available for transferred worksheets. Refer to Worksheet Cell Calculation for Limit Example for additional information on worksheet cell limits.
Data: The Data tab is a toolbar providing these worksheet data options:
- Import: Click Import to import an external worksheet into MIP Cloud. Import is not available for transferred worksheets.
- Export: Click Export to download a copy of the worksheet to a local drive. Export is not available for transferred worksheets.
- Copy Worksheet: Click Copy Worksheet to create a copy of the worksheet.
- Budget Item/Comment Line: By default, column A contains the letter "B", indicating that the row is a budget item and is included in Validate Worksheet and/or Transfer Budget Worksheet . Click to remove a line from the budget without deleting the information. The "B" disappears, and the row is now a Comment Line. A comment line is not included in validations and/or transfers and extra comment lines are useful to indicate subtotals and clarifications. Conversely, click on a blank cell in column A to select that row for validations/transfers and the 'B' displays. Budget Item/Comment Line is not available for transferred worksheets.
- Filter: Click Filter to sort and filter worksheet content.
- Modify Selected Items: Click Modify Selected Items to make changes to worksheet entries. Modify Selected Items is not available for transferred worksheets.
- Freeze/Unfreeze Columns: Use this button to view all columns or to keep column labels to the left of the "Title" column visible, as you scroll when viewing the worksheet.
- Validate Worksheet: Use this button to validate all budget items in the worksheet. (A budget item is any row that has the letter "B" in Column A.) Use the Previous Error and Next Error arrows to navigate errors found in the worksheet. Validate Worksheet (and the arrows) are not available for transferred worksheets.
The bottom row of the worksheet toolbar has these two fields:
Cell Location: Click in a cell to see that cells location. Type a cell location in the field to advance to that cell location.
Function: Click in a cell for function information for that cell. Type in the field to add\edit function information for a cell.

Buttons
Clicking the button performs the action described by the button label. To use a different button functionality, click the up arrow on the right of the button; a menu appears with the other button options.
Cancel: Click to discard the worksheet entries and return to the Budget Worksheet Form.
Transfer: Click to go to the Transfer Budget Worksheet Form Transfer is not available for transferred worksheets.
Save & Copy / Save / Save & Close - Click this button to save the current worksheet. Save & Copy / Save / Save & Close is not available for transferred worksheets. There are three variations of this button's functionality:
- Save & Copy - Saves the current document and displays the Copy Budget Worksheet form.
- Save - Saves the current document and leaves it on the screen for further edits.
- Save & Close - Saves the current document and leaves it on the screen for further edits.
Copy / Close - Click this button to save the current worksheet. Copy / Close is not available for non-transferred worksheets. There are two variations of this button's functionality:
Copy - Saves the current document and displays the Copy Budget Worksheet form.
Close - Saves the current document and leaves it on the screen for further edits.
