Partial Payments
Access the Partial Payment fields by clicking the blue-texted link Invoice/Credit Number on the Accounts Payable Pay Invoices Print Checks Form form.
When the blue-texted link Invoice/Credit Number is clicked, the Partial Payment fields display. These provide all the details of each open line item of the invoice, as well as, offers a place to apply partial payments and discount amounts. To apply a partial payment, click the blue-texted link of the Invoice/Credit Number. Scroll over the to the Amount to Pay column and enter the dollar amount, and click the Update button. To apply a discount amount, click the blue-texted link of the Invoice/Credit Number. Scroll over the to the Discount Amount column and enter the dollar amount, and click the Update button.
- Fund, General Ledger, and other segments: Enter a segment code, or select one from the drop-down list. The system displays all available segments in this table. Segments were set up when the organization was created by the Administrator (File>New Organization>Account Segments panel).

1099 Box: If the selected vendor needs a 1099, enter the 1099 box number (Form Type-Box Number) for this line, or accept the default (if any). If a vendor was set up (Maintain>Vendors>1099 Information tab) with a 1099 box number of "No Default," and the Vendor ID was selected on this form, you are required to enter a 1099 Box number here. Also, if the 1099 Type is changed for this transaction, select the 1099 Box number, associated with the 1099 Type form, from the available drop-down list which displays the Code (Form Type-Box Number) and its Description, such as MISC-16 or DIV-01a.
Unpaid Balance: The system displays the unpaid balance for each transaction row. The sum of all rows displays in the Unpaid/Credit Balance field in the Pending Invoices and Credits table.
Amount to Pay: Enter the dollar amount for the partial payment. The sum of all rows minus any Available Discounts displays in the Amount to Pay field in the Pending Invoices and Credits table. Please note that any changes to the Amount to Pay will not reflect the Discount Available or the Discount Date fields in the Pending Invoices and Credits table.
Discount Amount: Enter the dollar amount for the discount. The sum of all rows displays in the Discount Amount field in the Pending Invoices and Credits table. This field is not available for Transaction Source APM (Accounts Payable Credit).
Discount Available: The system displays the total calculated discount. The sum of all rows displays in the Discount Available filed in the Pending Invoices and Credits table. The amount does not include any adjustments you made using Partial Payment or Discount Amounts.
Update: Click this button to close the Partial Payment form and save these changes to the Amount to Pay and Discount Amount fields in the Pending Invoices and Credits table.
