Premium Overview

Premiums are (taxable) gifts given to a donor in exchange for a (non-taxable) donation. Examples of premiums include merchandise such as a t-shirts or publications. Premiums can also include taxable portions of fundraising events or sessions such as the cost of dinner at a banquet or greens fees for a golf outing as well as memberships.

Once you create a premium, you must set up the conditions that will make this premium available to a donor as well as assign it to a specific fund. For example, you may wish to make a premium available to those donors who make a gift between $100 and $300 dollars. Setting these conditions allows you to specify those amounts so that this premium is only made available when a gift meets the conditions that are set.

  2. Set the Conditions for the Premium.
