Options in the Management group item allow users to edit and set management-level settings and tasks. In the Sales module, standard Management group item options include Find Sales Rep, Find Assignments, and Process Commission.
Because modules and the group items therein are interrelated, keep in mind that in order for information to be available in the Sales module, Management options, appropriate information must be set under other modules. Users must be set as sales representatives in the Admin module, and assignments must be added via the Assignments group item in the Sales module. In order to process commissions, closed invoices must meet the requirements for commission processing.
Note: System users are not automatically set as sales representatives. For a system user to appear as a sales representative, they must be set as such in the Admin module.
Note: New assignments are added under the Assignments group item.
Search for site users who have been set as sales representatives in your association's database by hovering over the Management option in the navigation bar--select Find Sales Rep.
The basic "Find - User" form will load. Enter your search criteria. For a more specific search, click the "Advanced View" checkbox. Expanded Boolean type search options will appear for each search criteria field. Use these search options to narrow your search results further.Login Name: The sales representative's login name—select from a drop-down list of names.Friendly Name: The name by which a sales representative is identified to the customer.And/Or: Specify whether to run the search for results that include both the login name and the friendly name by selecting AND or opt for results including either the login name or the friendly name by selecting OR.
Once the search criteria have been entered, click "Go". A list of search results will display in the List - User screen. If only one result came of the search, the profile screen for that result will automatically load.
Hover your mouse over the Management option in the navigation bar. Click Find Assignments.
The Find - Assignments form will load. Enter your search criteria. For a more specific search, click the "Advanced View" checkbox. Expanded Boolean type search options will appear for each search criteria field. Use these search options to narrow your search results further.
Sales Rep Name: The sales representative's login name--select from a drop-down list of names.Sales Rep Friendly Name: The name by which a sales representative is identified to the customer.And/Or: Specify whether to run the search for results that include both the login name and the friendly name by selecting AND or opt for results including either the login name or the friendly name by selecting OR.Status: The current status of the assignment. Possible assignment statuses include "Pending", "Open", or "Closed". Assignment: Enter all or part of the assignment name in this field. Due Date: Search by the assigned due date for the assignment.
To process commissions, hover over the Management group item in the navigation bar and select Process Commissions.
The Process Commission selection box will appear. If you wish to process commissions on eligible closed invoices, click the Continue button. If commissions are waiting to be processed, the number of processed commissions will appear in the window.
