Query Central

The Query Central group item link stores all saved queries in a central area, giving you easy access from almost any group item. The saved queries are displayed by Module and organized by Table and User. From Query Central you can do the following:

  • Run Queries Immediately
  • Run Scheduled Queries

Query Central also hides many of the more complicated areas of the query tool, so you cannot add or edit queries in Query Central. Go to the group item Query page to create a query that can be stored here.

User Interface

Use the Module drop-down list to select any module in NetForum.

Use the Table drop-down list to view a list of all tables on which the queries have been saved. Select a table to display the queries in that table only.

Use the User drop-down list to view a list of all users who have saved a query. Select a user to display only the queries saved by that user.

The Delivery Method drop-down list defaults to Run Immediately. If you select Schedule in the Delivery Method drop-down list, the Add - Query Export Task page displays after the Available data elements... page. Use the Add - Query Export Task page to set up the export and scheduling options. The send time automatically defaults to two minutes after your computer time. The default accounts for any discrepancies between your computer time and the server time.

Use the Available data elements... page to edit the columns, or data, that displays in the result. The default selections come from the original query.
