Accumail

AccuMail from SmartSoft corrects addresses and adds Zip +4 codes. AccuMail integrates with NetForum using COM interoperability. It is CASS Certified by the USPS. Canadian Integration would require modification to current NetForum integration.

AccuMail features:

  • CASS Certified by the USPS
  • Quickly and easily corrects, parses and standardizes every codeable address in your database and adds Carrier Routes, ZIP+4, Line of Travel Information (LOT) and Delivery Point Barcode (DPB) information.
  • Allows you to identify and analyze un-coded addresses so previously undeliverable addresses can be corrected and included with the rest of your mailings; by standardizing addresses, costly duplicates can be eliminated.
  • Interacts with the USPS National Database so you can see the most current address range created by the USPS, as well as allowing you to perform single address lookups.
  • Prints USPS Form 3553 facsimiles, standard coding summaries and custom reports. Also prints addresses on single envelopes and labels in addition to the 11 digit barcode.
  • Accepts most database formats, including ASCII fixed length, ASCII delimited file format and dBase file formats. Interfaces directly with MS-Word.* This allows AccuMail Gold to correct and code lists generated by most mailing list or database management programs available today.

Updates

New - From 2006.02.03 build on, we integrated with AccuMail Gold .net component. The clients only need to purchase the subscription for data files, not the Toolkit. We distribute the integration component with NetForum.

We recommend the clients to only update their data files through AccuMail setup, not re-install the application every time they get a new AccuMail subscription CD

IMPORTANT -10/24/2007: Due to an error AccuMail has with buffering address data in the .net component, we need to temporarily do a little trick to let the integration know it doesn't need to buffer data. It consists of deploying an empty txt file called "slownet.txt" into the folder where data files reside, usually on 'C' drive in "C:\Program Files\Datatech SmartSoft\SmartMs\ACMDATA"

Just create an empty .txt file with the name "slownet.txt" and drop it in this folder. This should fix the memory leak problem for now.
We are waiting for SmartSoft to come up with a fix into their component. The clients don't need to do anything about it, we will deploy the new component when available.

This setting provides real-time address verification and eliminates potential issues / costs associated with inaccurate or incomplete address data.
