Form Designer

The NetForum Enterprise Form Designer is the user interface to design and manipulate NetForum Forms. The Form Designer gives the developer a WYSIWYG canvas to design a form.

There are two editions of the Form Designer, to support the new MVC forms as well as the classic forms in NetForum.

For MVC forms, the Form Designer allows you to easily drag widgets onto a form, change the order of displayed widgets, add or edit labels, controls, or queries to a form, and edit the data displayed in a given widget.

The Form Designer is based on the Bootstrap framework. Bootstrap is included in NetForum; there is no need to install it separately.

From the Form Designer, a developer can customize NetForum as follows:

  • Manipulate the layout or tab order of form controls.
  • Add new form controls and extensions.
  • Configure the behavior and attributes of form controls.
  • View a history of changes to the form and revert the form to a previous version.
