Add and Edit Group Item Link Forms
Group Item Link Procedures
Note: Each procedure begins by opening an Add or Edit Group Item Link form. There are many ways to open these forms depending on your location in the Toolkit module and the information that you know. We show just one of the ways in these procedures - from a Group Item Profile page. View the Add and Edit Group Item Link Forms topic to see the additional ways to open an Add or Edit Group Item Link form.

Open the Add Group Item Link form.

Open the Group Item Profile page by selecting Find Group Item form, and clicking Go.
from the left navigation menu, entering criteria on theIf more than one Group Item meets the search criteria, you must first select the desired Group Item before the Profile page displays.
- Click the Add button in the group item links child form.

- If the module or fields are blank on the Add Group Item Link form, select the enable editing of module/item check box, select a value from the module list box for the Content Group, and select a value from the group item list box for the Group Item.
- Enter values for the link text and link order.
- Select the open in new window? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a modal pop up window.
- Select the new browser? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a new browser window.
- Complete the remainder of the form according to the type of Group Item Link that you are creating.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Open the Edit Group Item Link form.

Open the Group Item Profile page by selecting Find Group Item form, and clicking Go.

- On the Group Item Profile page, click the expand/close button in the group item links child form header.
- Click the edit button for the Group Item Link.

- Make changes as desired.
- Click Save to save the changes.

Open the Edit Group Item Link form.

Open the Group Item Profile page by selecting Find Group Item form, and clicking Go.

- On the Group Item Profile page, click the expand/close button in the group item links child form header.

Click the edit button for the Group Item Link.

- Select the hide/disable record? check box.
- Click Save to save the changes.
- Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Open the Edit Group Item Link form.

Open the Group Item Profile page by selecting Find Group Item form, and clicking Go.

- On the Group Item Profile page, click the expand/close button in the group item links child form header.

Click the edit button for the Group Item Link.

- Clear the hide/disable record? check box.
- Click Save to save the changes.

Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.
The DeleteMethod system option must be set to hard. Otherwise, only soft deletes are permitted on your system.

Display the Profile page for the Group Item.
Select Find Group Item form, and click Go.

- Click the expand/close button in the group item links child form header.
- Click the Delete button for the Group Item Link.

- If the module or fields are blank on the Add Group Item Link form, select the enable editing of module/item check box, select a value from the module list box for the Content Group, and select a value from the group item list box for the Group Item.
- Enter values for the link text and link order.
- Select the open in new window? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a modal pop up window.
- Select the new browser? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a new browser window.
- Select the list add icon? check box if the destination for this link is the form that will open when the user clicks the add button on the List page for the Group Item.
- In the link path box, enter /forms.
- In the link file box, enter DynamicEdit.aspx.
- In the link parameters box, enter ?Action=Add.
- In the form box, enter the name of the form to open when the Add Group Item Link is clicked.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

- Complete the remainder of the form according to the type of Group Item Link that you are creating.
- In the link path box, enter /forms.
- In the link file box, enter DynamicSearch.aspx.
- In the form box, enter the name of the form to open when the Find Group Item Link is clicked.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

- In the link text box, enter Query Central.
- Enter a value for the link order.
- Select the open in new window? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a modal pop up window.
- Select the new browser? check box to open the Group Item Link destination in a new browser window.
- In the link path box, enter /forms.
- In the link file box, enter QueryCentral.aspx.
- Select the same form that was used for the Query Group Item Link for this Group Item. When usi this Query Central Group Item Link to open Query Central, the Module field will default to the correct Content Group.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

- In the reports box, enter the report name.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

- If the wizard requires Querystring parameters, in the link parameters box enter ? (question mark) followed by the parameters.
- In the wizard box, enter the wizard name.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

Open the Group Item Profile page by selecting Find Group Item form, and clicking Go.

- In the link path box, enter the complete website URL for the link destination. This tells the the system to not add the website's application path before the name of the file.
- In the link file box, enter any single alphabetical character. This field is required, but not used by the framework for Help menu Group Item Links.
- Click Save to create the new Group Item Link.

Identify the key for the List page and the List Table setup to use. Typically, the key values will be the same.
