Exhibitor Booth Action Type

Overview

The Exhibitor Booth Action Type can be used to score the purchase of booths.

When setting up a Scoring Weight, you can use the baseline query called ** A-Score - non-canceled exhibit booth purchase as a starting point for any queries. We recommend making this query the update query (as it contains filtering criteria that looks at cancellations) and use the standard query for more complex criteria (such as booth size, etc.). Select the include conditions from first query in second query? checkbox so that updates and mass processes combine the conditions of both queries.

Workflow Rule

** A-Score for Exhibitor Booth - Customer Action

This Scoring Workflow Rule uses the Trade Show Start Date as the "action date" for Customer Actions inserted for this Action Type. Therefore, in order for customer actions to be recorded properly, be sure the trade show has the start date entered.

Be aware that this will mean that points will not count until the exhibit show starts. For example, suppose the show starts on November 1. If an exhibitor purchases a booth on June 1, they will not get any points for their overall A-Score until November.

If you want for points to start immediately, consider modifying the Workflow Rule to use the add date instead of the exhibit start date. If you do this, however, then decay will start earlier.

We recommend using the exhibit start date as the "action date" as exhibitors will likely be compared with other exhibitors and if the bulk of their scoring all coincides around the same annual dates, then you'll be assured of similar comparisons.

Revoking

If an exhibitor's booth is canceled, the cancellation process does not directly interface with the Exhibitor Booth object which means the scoring workflow cannot requalify in real-time. Therefore, scores will not decline real-time but they will get picked up by the All Scales Maintenance task.
