Setting Up the Miscellaneous Item Category Drop-Down List
Miscellaneous Item Categories are used to categorize miscellaneous products (e.g., training, professional services, donations).
To add a category to the Miscellaneous Category drop-down list:
- Click the Accounting hyperlink on the Module Menu to launch the Accounting module.
- Click the Setup hyperlink located on the Accounting Overview page.
- On the Merchandise Product Category child form, click the ADD
icon.
This will open the Miscellaneous Item Category Information pop-up window.
- Enter the name of the new miscellaneous item category in the Category field.
- Enter a short description of the new category in the Description field.
- Click the Save button.
This adds the item to the Miscellaneous Product Category drop-down list on the Miscellaneous Product Information form.
When a customer uses the Shopping Cart or Online Store, they can sort miscellaneous products by Category.
