Dynamic Form Profile Page

ClosedTo open the Dynamic Form Profile page from the Toolkit Overview or other Toolkit page

  1. Open the Find Dynamic Form form by selecting Form > Find Form from the left navigation menu.

    Note: If you are on the Toolkit Overview page, you can click on the Find Form icon instead.

  2. Enter search criteria.
  3. Click Go.
  4. If more than one Object meets the search criteria, the List Dynamic Form page displays. Click on the desired Form.

  1. Open the Profile page for the Object to which the form belongs.

    2. See the Object Profile Page topic to view the various ways to open an Object Profile page.

  2. Click the expand/close button in the forms child form header.
  3. Click the goto button for the Form.

Fields

description: The name for the form in metadata. If the description contains the word Rest, then this form represents an xWeb REST resource. This description is visible only in the Toolkit; end users will not see it in the netFORUM application.

title: The title for this form. This is what the end user will see. If empty, then the object is the title.This field supports parsed values.

If this form represents an xWeb REST resource, instead of a form used in iWeb, then the title is the exact name for the resource.

object: The name of the Object for this form. Click the name to open the Profile page for the Object.

key: The GUID (unique id) for this form.

designed form?: If equal to Yes, then this form has been designed by using the Form Designer, and the the system will use Designed Form Controls to render it.

has child forms?: If equal to Yes, then this form has one or more child forms.

has extension controls?: If equal to Yes, then this form has form extensions.

has profile form?: If equal to Yes, then this form is a Profile page.

primary profile?: If equal to Yes, then this form is the primary Profile page.

enable ajax?:If equal to Yes, then ajax is enabled on this form.

sub form?: If equal to Yes, then this form is a Sub Form.

table layout?: How the framework places the controls on this form.

Buttons

A Form Profile page has common Toolkit buttons. See Common Toolkit Profile Page Buttons for descriptions.

action items shortcuts:

  • Click Action Items > Edit Form Detail
  • Click Action Items > Design Form to open the Form Designer and make changes to the layout.
  • Click Action Items > Preview Form to display this form as it will appear to your users.
  • Click Action Items > Form Object to open the Profile page for this form's Object.
  • Click Action Items > Copy From Another Form
  • Click Action Items > Deploy Object/Form/ChildForm to open the Object and Form Deploy tool. Use this tool to deploy the Object, a form belonging to the Object, or a child form belonging to the Object.
  • Click Action Items > Substitute Form to open the Add Substitute form. You will be creating a new dynamic form based on this form and substituting the new form for this form.
