Reordering and Hiding Web Site Page Content
On the Content tab of the Web Site Editor, you can add, edit, and delete Web site sections and their associated Web pages using the Web Site Content directory tree. After your site has been set-up for the first time using the Web Site Wizard, you may also add or edit a baseline section using the Add Baseline Section button. Also, you may also reorder and hide the content displayed on a Web site page using the Page Content tab.
Use the Page Content tab to manipulate how the content on your page is displayed. You can decide what order it is displayed in and whether it should be displayed.
For example, notice in the image above for the My Information page on eWeb, the content sections directly match the eWeb page My Information displayed below. Profile information is displayed first, then organization information, and so forth.
You may reorder content on the page by clicking and dragging tiles.
You may also hide page content by clicking the red
hide icon on the right side of the tile. Note that if the page content
is required, you may not hide it. Further, some page content is
linked to other content. For example, using the My Information page
as an example, if you hide Organization Information, Linked Organization
Information and Related Organization Information will also be hidden by
default. When you click the hide icon, the hide content window appears. Click the Hide button to
confirm your choice to hide the content from the eWeb page.
Hidden content is denoted by a green add section
icon. Clicking the Add Section
icon on a tile that has previously been hidden will enable you to once
again make it visible if needed.
