COI

The COI (Conflict of Interest) module is designed to assist organizations in mitigating conflicts between a participant's activity (for example, in research or education) and a participant's relationship with organizations or constituents that could potentially gain from the outcome of the activity.

Each association's Conflict of Interest (COI) details vary depending on its specific industry and needs. This solution provides a flexible framework for creating a COI process that each association can configure to the specifics of its needs.

System Options

Two system options are used in the COI module and should be configured before beginning your work in the COI module:

  • COISourceCodeType - used to specify the source codes found in the source code drop-down menu when adding a COI Request.
  • COISurveyTypeCode - used to specify which types of surveys can be COI surveys.
