Introducing the Fixed Assets Module

The Fixed Assets module helps you manage and track your organization's capital assets, such as property and equipment. Get started by Setting Up the Fixed Assets Module.

Add new assets

Add new assets and manage existing assets. Use Designation Codes to track an asset's physical location, assign which department it belongs to, and more.

Assign Categories and Asset Types to your assets, grouping them for ease of calculations and reporting. To learn the difference between Categories and Asset Types, see Asset Types.

Calculate depreciation for your assets

Calculate the depreciation of your assets on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. You can calculate for an individual asset, or for a custom category of assets.

Create Custom Depreciation Codes to suit your organization's needs, or choose from one of five standard depreciation calculation methods built into the system.

Post depreciation to the general ledger immediately, or run a Pre-Transfer Depreciation/Disposal Register report to help you review your entries and check for errors.

Dispose of your assets

Record full disposals of an asset, or use a partial disposal for an asset impairment loss - see Disposals for more information.

Run reports to keep track of your assets and activities

Use one of the nine pre-built reports in the system to manage your assets, or create custom reports of your own.
