Organization Overview

An Organization is any group or organization that has a relationship with your organization. Examples of organizations include membership organizations, vendors, hotels, conference centers, warehouses, other associations or chapters, advertisers, and more.

The Organizations Group Item contains links to some of the most basic but critical functionality in NetForum. Any functionality regarding an Organization's name, address, phone number, e-mail address, website address, contact preferences, type of organization, and relationships to individuals and other organizations is found in the Organizations Group Item.

The following five standard Group Item Links , are available in the Organizations group item:

• Add
• Find
• List
• Run Query
• Query Central

Additional Group Item Links include the following:

• Organization Demographic Setup
• Address Correction
• Combine and Merge Duplicate Records

The Organization Profile stores all of the previously noted data and also information such as the organization's ID, acronym, parent company, tax ID, and whether or not the organization is a member. You can access the Organization Profile page by doing one of the following:

• Finding an Organization
• Adding an Organization

Once you are in the Organization Profile window, you can use the following:

• profile option icons
• web login icon
• demographics icon
• user defined demographics icon
• edit name and address button
• edit contact info button

Sort Name - see also the system option OrgSortNamePrefixStripList to automatically strip certain words ("the", "Inc.", and so on from the sort name).
