Creating Custom Queries

To create custom queries, a query designer must:

• be a licensed user of netFORUM Pro
• be running netFORUM Pro2011.04 or greater
• have access to the Query Tool
• have Administrator access
• be designated the Query Tool Administrator

Note: Only one Query Tool Administrator can be designated per entity.

• be well-versed with the organization’s data structures and processes
• know how to use Report Central and Query Central

netFORUM Pro provides pre-built “baseline” reports and queries, that can be run when accessing Reports Central and Query Central, which are continually updated and added to during each new build. The Query Tool provides a much more granular level of control even beyond Query Central in that not only supports creating custom queries by specifying what parameters are to be used, but also supports defining when they are to be used, such as at run-time versus embedded within the query.  Also specify formatting options of custom queries, such as the sort order of the parameters and how the columns in the list are displayed, when receiving query results.
