Using Dataset Designer to Design Interactive Reports

Dataset Designer provides the means to create interactive reports from baseline and custom queries that can be run immediately or saved for later use.

Important: A licensed user of netFORUM Pro needs access to Query Tool to create datasets.  A user without access to Query Tool can view Dataset Designer reports that are not marked private, but does not have access to create or edit datasets.

This book details how to access, configure, and set-up the interactive reports created with Dataset Designer.

Start with Accessing the Dataset Designer and begin Creating a Dataset, or open a Saved Dataset.

Choose between using the dataset to create either a List Report or a Chart Report.

Further define the dataset by Editing and Selecting Additional columns. Add Aggregate Functions to columns to use mathematical functions with the query data.

Note: A set of Default Columns is available for queries without a defined set of columns.

Group columns for List Reports and select options for Chart Report Types.

Apply Additional Dataset Formatting Options before Running the Dataset Report and Saving the Dataset.
