What is the Difference Between Voiding and Cancelling an Invoice?

When you void an invoice, it is as if the invoice never existed.  You normally void an invoice because of a mistake where cancelling an invoice is used to create a credit or refund. Unlike cancelling an invoice, voiding an invoice removes the transactions from the batch, the General Ledger, the customer record, and the netFORUM database. Cancelling an invoice, however, still leaves a record of all the events associated with the invoice.
