Naming and Saving Custom Queries

The options to save and update a custom query depend on whether the query:

  • Is a new custom query that has not yet been save

  • Is an existing custom query

Naming and Saving Custom Queries is divided into these areas:

  • The Query Name field - populated with the name of the current query - whether baseline or custom
  • The Save as New Query button – saves the query as a new custom query
  • The Update Query button – updates and saves a previously saved custom query
  • The Delete Saved Query button – permanently deletes a previously saved custom query
  • The Clear Query button – clears all query parameters
  • The Go button – runs the query in the current configuration

To name and save a custom query:

  1. Enter a unique name in the Query Name field.
  2. Click Save as New Query. The custom query is saved with the custom query tag.
  3. Note: Not changing the name of an existing query when creating a new custom query does not overwrite the existing query. The new custom query is added with the same name but with the custom query tag.
