Setting Up the Interest Code Drop-Down List

You can use the Interest Code list to record an individual's special interests or skills.

Examples: public relations, translating, writing, mediation

The Interest Code Drop-down List

You can add, edit, or delete drop-down list items from the Interest Code list on the Individual tab in CRM Setup.

To add an Interest Code:

  1. Navigate to the CRM Overview page.
  2. On the Overview page, click Setup.
You can also access this setup page by clicking the Administration icon > Overview > Customer Setup link.
  1. On the Customer Information Profile page, select the Individual tab.
  2. On the Interest Codes child form, click the ADD button.
  3. In the Interest Code Information window, enter the Interest Code.
  4. Enter a Description.
  5. Click Save to add the interest code to the Interest Code drop-down list in the application.

To edit an interest code:

  1. Click the edit button next to the interest code you would like to edit.
  2. Make your changes and click Save.

To delete an interest code from the drop-down list:

  1. Click the delete button next to the interest code you would like to delete.
  2. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
