Setting Up the Prefix Drop-Down List

The Prefix is the title that appears before an individual's name. The prefix drop-down list appears on forms when adding or editing an individual.

Examples of prefixes: Dr., Mr., Mrs., Ms., Prof.

The Prefix Drop-down List

You can add, edit, or delete drop-down list items from the Prefixes list on the Individual tab in CRM Setup.

To add a Prefix:

  1. Navigate to the CRM Overview page.
  2. On the Overview page, click Setup.

You can also access this setup page by clicking the Administration icon > Overview > Customer Setup link.
  1. On the Overview and Setup page, select the Individual tab.
  2. On the Prefixes child form, click the ADD icon.
  3. In the Name Prefix Information window, enter the Prefix.
  4. Click Save to add the prefix to the Prefix drop-down list in the application.

To edit a prefix:

  1. Click the edit button next to the prefix you would like to edit.
  2. Make your changes and click Save.

To delete a prefix from the drop-down list:

  1. Click the delete button next to the prefix you would like to delete.
  2. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
