Setting Up the Product Type Drop-Down List

The Product Type is the type of goods or service provided by an organization.

Examples of product types: food services, transportation, event coordination, book publishing, quick printing

The Product Type Drop-down List

You can add, edit, or delete drop-down list items from the Product Types list on the Organization tab in CRM Setup.

To add a Product Type:

1. Navigate to the CRM Overview page.
2. On the Overview page, click Setup.

3. On the Customer Information Profile page, select the Organization tab.
4. On the Product Types child form, click the ADD button.
5. In the Product Type Information window, enter the Product Type Code.
6. Enter a Description.
7. Click Save to add the product type to the Product Type drop-down list in the application.

To edit a product type:

1. Click the edit button next to the product type you would like to edit.
2. Make your changes and click Save.

To delete a product type from the drop-down list:

1. Click the delete button next to the product type you would like to delete.
2. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
