Setting Up the Product Type Drop-Down List
The Product Type is the type of goods or service provided by an organization.
Examples of product types: food services, transportation, event coordination, book publishing, quick printing
The Product Type Drop-down List
You can add, edit, or delete drop-down list items from the Product Types list on the Organization tab in CRM Setup.
To add a Product Type:
- Navigate to the CRM Overview page.
- On the Overview page, click Setup.

- On the Customer Information Profile page, select the Organization tab.
- On the Product Types child form, click the ADD
button.
- In the Product Type Information window, enter the Product Type Code.
- Enter a Description.
- Click Save to add the product type to the Product Type drop-down list in the application.
To edit a product type:
- Click the edit
button next to the product type you would like to edit.
- Make your changes and click Save.
To delete a product type from the drop-down list:
- Click the delete
button next to the product type you would like to delete.
- Click OK to confirm the deletion.
