Setting Up an Organization Directory

Users can indicate specific individual and organization data fields to be used in the individual and organization online directories. Users can indicate that a field be used on the Search page of the directory and/or the results displayed from the directory search.

You may use Setup Directory and two new Web Site System Options to specify the following behavior for Individual and Organization Directory:

  • You may specify that both members and non-members are displayed. Previously only members were displayed. (Note, a member is defined as “receiving benefits”)
  • You may display all Member Types in addition to individuals and organizations so that, for example, an individual’s memberships are displayed.
  • You may choose to disable prefix and suffix from a member or customer’s name.
  • You may choose to display a phone extension and designation.
  • You may choose to display social handles; Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+.

To set up directory data fields for the Organization Directory online:

  1. Hover over the Modules tab in the top navigation bar. In the fly out menu, click CRM.
  2. On the CRM / Overview page, expand the Organizations group item and click Setup Directory.

The following fields from an organization customer record can be used for search and display functionality in the Online Directory for organization records.

  1. To indicate that a field should be shown in the eWeb search online, click the Show in Sarch checbox for that data field.
  2. To indicate that a field should be shown in the eWeb Organization Directory displayed online, click the Show in Results checkbox for that data field.

  1. Click the Save button.

To view the set up of the data fields on eWeb:

  1. Login to the netFORUM external Web site.
  2. Click on the Organization Directory tab.
  3. Enter the criteria for the search.
  4. Click the Search button.

The data displayed for the customer record is specified by the set up of the Show in Directory flag. Images are pulled from Organization Profiles if they have been uploaded previously.

View More Info Hyperlink for Individual and Organization Directory

The View More Info hyperlink, found below each listing on the Individual and Organization Directory Search Results page, is now client controlled through the eWebViewMoreInfo Web Site system option.

This system option defaults to 1 which enables this link to be visible.

Recall that the View More Info hyperlink will display additional demographics for an Individual and Organization if they have been set-up.

You may also setup an Organization Directory using the Web Site Module.
