Updating an Individual's Contact Information

Contact information for an individual can be conveniently updated from the Individual Contact Information form. Update information related to an individual's:

  • Phone, Fax, and E-mail information
  • Web address
  • and Contact Preferences

To access the Individual Contact Information form:

  1. Navigate to the Individual Profile.

  2. Hover over the Edit Action Icon at the top of the individual profile and select Edit Phone and E-Mail from the drop-down menu. The Individual Contact Information form will appear.

Phone, E-mail, and Fax Information

On the Individual Contact Information form, note that sections exist for Phone Information, E-mail Information, and Fax Information. Add phone, e-mail, and fax information to the appropriate sections of the form.

To mark a phone number, e-mail address, and fax number as primary, click the Primary check-box next to the primary contact method. If an number or address should remain private, click the Unlisted check-box.

Linking Phone and Fax Information

In the Phone and Fax Information sections, click the Link Phone and/or Link Fax check-box(es) to link the Work phone or fax number fields to the primary organization's primary phone and/or fax number.

Once the Link Phone or Link Fax check-box is checked, the individual's Work number is automatically updated with the Primary Organization's number. Should the Primary Organization change its phone or fax number, this data automatically updates on the linked individual's profile.

Web Information

Locate the Web Information section at the bottom of the Individual Contact Information form. In the Personal Site field, enter the individual's personal Web site. The Web site will be displayed in the Linked Information section of the Individual Profile page.

Contact Preferences

Set the ways in which the individual prefers not to be contacted in the Do Not Contact By Information section. Click the desired check-boxes to indicate that the individual does not want to be contacted by phone, fax, e-mail, and/or mail.
